Threads Expands Messaging with Group DMs and EU Rollout, Meta Aims for 400M Users

Threads Group Messaging Feature Now Available
Meta Platforms has begun rolling out group direct messaging for its Threads application, enabling users to create conversations with up to 50 followers. According to reports, the feature allows users to start a new message and add any of their Threads followers to group conversations, with plans to soon enable link-sharing for easier group joining. Sources indicate this represents a significant expansion of the messaging capabilities that initially took two years to develop for the mobile app.
